The Moraga Bomber

In a casual conversation with Patch reader and long-time Moraga resident John Eriksen the topic came up: "Do you remember the pipeline bombing and fuel fire in Canyon back in 1969?"
John has one of those memories you envy and even though we were both young scuts back then he recalled another friend, Cosette Ellison, mentioning the blast - which was huge news and probably equal in "local buzz" to the recent conflagration in San Bruno - even though there were a lot fewer of us around back then.

The Danville Pipe Bomb and the dubious suicide of Dry Cleaner

DANVILLE — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has joined the investigation into a pipe bomb explosion that damaged two cars here over Memorial Day weekend, an agency spokeswoman confirmed.
“The Danville Police Department requested our assistance and we are currently working with them on this investigation,” ATF public information officer Alexandria Corneiro said in an email to this newspaper.
Danville police Chief Allan Shields advised the public Thursday to be on the lookout for a man who may have witnessed the explosion. He is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall, and around 240 to 250 pounds. He was driving a white sedan, which police say could be a Jaguar.
Police have not yet released a cause of the explosion or named any suspects. No injuries have been reported.
The blast was reported 7:10 p.m. Sunday, near the Smart & Final at 460 Diablo Road in Danville. Two vehicles had minor damage.

Police say anyone with information on the incident can contact Danville police Det. Sgt. Ron Hoekwater at 925-314-3703 or rhoekwater@danville.ca.gov.

City of Clayton

This tragedy came into focus after articles appeared in the Contra Costa Times and Claycord.com where after reading about this fire tragedy I called a former Clayton resident who was the same age as the victims.

City of Walnut Creek

There are more than just a few explosions and fires in Contra Costa County but even more in the state and plenty around the country.
After uncovering long sequestered details on the Walker Family I went about double checking my source.

Everything points in one direction.

The Suicide at Diablo Cleaners of Danville

On December 2, 2017, the guards at Regency Centers arrested Pete Bennett for trespassing at Plaza Escuela Walnut Creek. That was a big mistake forcing me to revisit the property transaction connected to Simon Hardware.

Not far from Green Valley Shopping Center is 190 Plaza Circle Danville is yet another fire located in a house where children were endangered. Few know this but the house next door burned to the ground in 2003 and this was around 2006.

Why did a devoted San Ramon mom decide to end her own life and take her little girl with her?

Published:

In a home video made the year before Maegan Mundi died, she sits on the living room couch of her San Ramon home. She’s slender and attractive, with long brown hair and a voice that rings with warmth. Casually dressed in jeans and an oversize T-shirt, she’s holding hands with her fiancé, Jan Bottorff. The two are joking about how their home movie needs "character development" when Mundi’s daughter, a golden-haired little girl clad in just a diaper, climbs onto Mundi’s lap and coaxes her to play "fall away."
Mundi does a pantomime of falling off the couch, raising her arms overhead and collapsing forward. The little girl, whose name is Galadriel, giggles delightedly and asks Mumsy to "fall away" again. Mundi does it again and again, all the while sporting a sideways grin.
The video captures a sweet moment, a playful, affectionate interaction, with Mundi in one of the many roles she took on in life: that of loving mother. Bottorff wants to believe that Mundi wasn’t just playing a part, that she was truly happy when they made this video in September 2002. But he also knows that if her happiness was real, it didn’t last.

Hey Martha, they got my cousins in 2014, my friend Alicia Driscoll in 2004, my customer Dr. Fang in 2000, my employee in 2009, my customer Peter Haas in 2011, and Dr. Ringheim in 1986.

Heck there are more.
